Glycolic Peel
What is Glycoilc Acid?

Glycolic Acid is a natural substance derived from sugar cane.

Is Glycolic Acid safe?

Yes. Glycolic Acid is a 100% nontoxic substance that does not enter the blood stream. No perscription is needed and it is not considered a drug. It is safe for pregnant and lactating women.

How does Glycolic Acid work?

Glycolic Acid dissolves a glue like substance on the upper layer of the skin allowing dead skin cells to slough off more efficently. Due to this deep exfoliation the skin begins to produce not only new skin cells but also healthy collagen and stronger elastin fibers.

Hyperpigmentation or "age spots" are lightened with the accelerated release of pigmented surface cells.

In the case of acne, because the use of Glycolic Acid reduces buildup of dead skin cells, the penetration of the acid into the follicular orifice opens up and drains pustular formations. By keeping cell buildup to a minimum the acne condition begins to diminish. Acne scars also lighten.

What results will my clients see?

The first effects are a notable improvement in color and texture due to increased circulation and an enhanced smoothness and hydration level. Over the course of the series pore size is refined, fine lines diminish, deeper lines soften, tightness and tone are improved and cases of acne can be dramatically improved.
